Misconduct and integrity

Misconduct is any behaviour that compromises the integrity, fairness or security of an examination.

Examples include:

• using unauthorised materials or electronic devices
• communicating with other candidates during the examination
• impersonating another candidate
• engaging in disruptive or inappropriate behaviour.

Candidates are expected to comply with all examination requirements and instructions provided by examination supervisors.

Breaches of examination rules may result in disciplinary action.

Depending on the nature and severity of the breach, this may include:

• a failure result for the examination
• a formal warning
• revocation of certification
• suspension of MSP Portal access

Yes. If you wish to appeal a misconduct-related decision, you may submit a written request to the MSP team via email at msp@lgirs.wa.gov.au.

Appeals are reviewed by the MSP team to ensure decisions are fair and consistent.
