2023 Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards winners and finalists

The Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards was held at Optus Stadium on 27 October 2023. These awards recognise outstanding solutions and innovations to specific workplace health and safety problems in Western Australia.

Sixty five submissions were received with 25 companies recognised as finalists. Seven finalists were recognised with a winner’s trophy and five finalists received a certificate of merit.

The Department would like to congratulate the Work Health and Safety Excellence Awards winners and finalists.

A person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) is the term given to a person conducting a business or undertaking, alone or with others, whether for not for profit or gain.

A PCBU can be:

  • a sole trader (e.g. a self-employed person)
  • each partner within a partnership
  • a company
  • an unincorporated association
  • a government department of a public authority (including a municipal council).
