WorkSafe privacy collection notice

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) will collect and use personal information collected through the WorkSafe Western Australia website to administer and enforce the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004 (WA), and their regulations.

In some cases, the law requires you to provide personal information. This may include information provided in notifiable incident reports, injury reports, health monitoring, licensing applications or statutory position notifications. In other cases, providing personal information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the information, LGIRS may be unable to assist you, accept or assess your information, or carry out its statutory functions.

LGIRS may disclose your personal information to other entities where disclosure is required or authorised by law, for law enforcement or investigation purposes, to report unlawful activity, or with your consent. Deidentified information may be used for reporting or statistical purposes.
