Unique Student Identifier (USI)

What is USI?

A USI is a Unique Student Identifier issued by the Australian Government. It allows students to access their nationally recognised training records and certifications.

How do I create a USI?

1. Visit: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi
2. Click: "Get a USI"
3. Verify your ID:
   1. You’ll need one form of valid ID (e.g. Medicare card, driver’s licence, passport).
4. Confirm and submit:
   1. Your USI will be generated instantly and sent to your email or mobile.

How do I check if I already have a USI?

1. Visit: https://www.usi.gov.au
2. Click: “Find your USI”
3. Enter your personal details and the system will search for your existing USI.
